One-day workshops are held on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a fully immersive experience within the château grounds. These retreats do not include excursions beyond the estate.
Two-day retreats begin on Saturday with check-in between 9:00 and 10:00 AM and conclude on Sunday at 5:00 PM. Room check-out is between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, with luggage storage available in our baggage room. These retreats take place exclusively within the château grounds; if you wish to explore beyond, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
The five-day writers' retreats, held in May and September, begin on Thursday with check-in between 10:00 and 11:00 AM and conclude on Monday at 5:00 PM. Room check-out is between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, with luggage storage available in our baggage room.

From the North (Bourgueil / A85 Motorway): Château de Détilly is located 7 km from exit no. 5 (“Bourgueil”) on the A85 motorway, which connects Tours (45 minutes away, also accessible via the A10 motorway from Paris and Bordeaux, with TGV and minor airport connections) to Angers (TGV) and Nantes (TGV, major airport). From the exit, follow signs to Avoine (D749), cross the Loire River, and pass the first roundabout. At the second roundabout (5.5 km), turn right onto a small road marked by a sign for Détilly. Continue for approximately 1.5 km, passing several intersections, until you reach the hamlet of Détilly. The (unmarked) entrance gate to the Château will be on your right.

From the South-East (Chinon): From the town center, follow signs for Angers (A85) on the D749, which runs along the north bank of the Vienne River. Pass through a large first roundabout and continue to Beaumont-en-Véron. At the second roundabout (approx. 5.5 km), turn left towards La Roche Honneur and follow the road westward through bends and small intersections. After about 1.5 km, you will see the park and the (unmarked) entrance gate to the Château directly in front of you.

The main gate remains closed at all times. Please call us shortly before your arrival so we can open it for you if we are not near the intercom. Plenty of parking is available inside the enclosed park, ensuring your vehicle’s safety. Guests staying at the Coach House have a reserved parking space next to the building.
